<해양 자원과 보존>

 

대양은 지표면의 약 71%를 차지한다.

 

그리고 그들은 인류에게 이로움을 줄 수 있는 많은 다양한 자원들로 가득하다.

 

대양은 물고기와 해산물의 거대한 원천이다.

 

수많은 나라의 어부들이 바다를 항해하며 사람들이 먹을 물고기들 잡는다.

 

그러나 인간은 너무나 많은 물고기를 잡고 있다.

 

어장들이 점점 작아지기 시작하고 있다.

 

그러므로 인간은 주의해야 한다.

 

인간은 물고기를 남획하지 말아야 한다.

 

그러면 더 많은 물고기가 자라고 대양을 다시 채울 수 있다.

 

대양은 또한 해저 밑에 많은 귀중한 자원들을 가지고 있다.

 

예를 들면, 석유와 천연가스가 많은 곳의 해저 밑에서 퍼 올려진다.

 

그러나 역시 인간은 주의해야 한다.

 

때로 기름 유출이 많은 양의 기름을 바다에 방출한다.

 

이것은 많은 물고기와 새, 그리고 다른 바다 생물들을 죽일 수 있다.

 

바다 밑에는 심지어 많은 양의 어떤 광석들도 있다.

 

금, 은, 그리고 다른 귀중한 금속들이 미래에 채굴될 수도 있다.

 

그러나 우리는 우리의 대양을 잘 돌봐야 할 필요가 있다.

 

그들은 많은 자원을 가지고 있지만, 우리는 또한 그들을 보존해야 할 필요가 있다.

<Ocean Resources and Conservation>

 

Oceans cover around 71% of the Earth's surface.

 

And they are full of many different resources that can benefit humanity.

 

The ocean are great source of fish and seafood.

 

Fishermen from numerous countries sail the oceans to catch fish for people to eat.

 

But, humans are catching too many fish.

 

Fish stocks are starting to become smaller.

 

So humans need to be careful.

 

They should not catch too many fish.

 

Then more fish can grow and fill the ocean again.

 

The oceans also have many valuable resources beneath their floors.

 

For instance, oil and natural gas are pumped from beneath the seafloor in many places.

 

But, again, humans need to be careful.

 

Sometimes, oil spills release large amounts of oil into the water.

 

This can kill many fish, birds, and other sea creatures.

 

There are even large amount of certain ores beneath the ocean.

 

Gold, silver, and other valuable metals can be mined in the future.

 

But we need to take good care of our oceans.

 

They have many resources, but we need to conserve them, too.
